Tommy Lee joins Backstreet boys??

just got home from work and had another listen...phew ,still crap.It doesnt sound like any band Tommy ever quotes as influences,it still sounds like,something to get on the current chart band wagon,is he really passionate about making this shite?Is it from the soul I dont think so,probably doesnt help that the guy is so fickle about everything he does anyway,always on the look out for better when he already has the best.That said good luck to the guy if it is really what he wants from his music,but please let him put a warning out before idiots like me listen to it in the vain hope that it ROCKS.

Oh, and I would argue a whole heck of alot about how much NY Dolls mattered in the history of music. I love 'em, but not many knew who the hell they were. They weren't exactly selling out stadiums.

His "anarchy" bullshit resolved itself into its natural conclusion, that of bourgeous individualism. The Pistols' album was played by session players, with the possible exception of Jones. The Pistols were useless. Think of Lydon as another Pat Buchanan.

As for The Dolls, when they started involving themselves with the CBGBs crowd was when they started deteriorating. Anyone who bought into the punk worship of anarchy, tunelessness, and degradation including heroin, deserved exactly what they got, including death. If the Dolls had been able to cobble together that third LP without being involved with punk, they may have actually broken the way a lot of similar bands did, from their Mid-Western fanbase first and then throughout the country.

Frankly, Dream Theatre, athough not my cuppa, is far more relevant than some two-bit noise merchant who has to rely on the gutter press to promote them.(NME...PUNK...)

I've got a copy of the album, and it's the wettest thing i've ever heard. Tommy sounds like he's trying to sing like Busted doing a ballad. It's actually fucking terrible.

My girlfriends likes it. says it sounds like surf music. i think it sounds like bullshit that would go on the O.C. tv show during an 'emotional' moment.
It's total pop tripe! enough to make me mad.

The only reason Crue ever split from Tommy or Vince left, is becuase Tommy wanted to be more than the hair band they were. And he's still not grounded. I'm all for doing other stuff, but where's the nuts?? couldnt he just do a really cool bluesy ballad album like Tyla or something instead?
Ginger dabs his hand in alsorts of stuff (clam abuse, silver ginger 5, etc) and it works.

There should be something in Motley Crue members contracts that say only Vince Neil is allowed to do solo work. LOL

And as far as Motley being just another L.A. Glam Band if it wasn't for the image.. I'd have to disagree.

If I was blind I would still enjoy Motley Crue's albums a hell of alot more than everything that followed the Crue (Poison, etc)

No they aren't the greatest musicians in the world.. never claimed to be, but when did that ever matter in real music?.. I'd rather have something with soul than something that is 100% tecnically spot on.
